What I loved most about working with my nurse coach was:
Vickkie focused on my schedule right away and helped me see that my major obstacle to meeting my goals was time management. She worked with me to find commitments I could eliminate. I am attempting to prioritize myself and my goals differently on my calendar/ still working on this.
My biggest win when working with my nurse coach was:
I found it very helpful to use the concept she shared with me to find 1-5 things that I did well and/or I am proud of each week and write these down.
My biggest insight that happened as a result of our coaching sessions was:
I can give a polite ok when criticized and then be done. I don’t need to explain myself or try to change the other person’s mind.
I would recommend Nurse Life Coaching because:
Vickkie is a kind and empathetic Nurse Life Coach. I appreciated working with her.

What I have loved most about working with my nurse coach would have to be getting a second opinion on my goals. It is also helpful to be able to talk about anything in the session and not one certain thing.
My biggest win when working with my nurse coach was:
My biggest win working with my coach would have to be working on my spiritual health journey. When I first started my sessions with her I was just dipping my toes in the water but throughout our time together it helped to develop small habits that made growing my faith easier. I feel more connected and more confident in my faith now.

What I loved most about working with my nurse coach was:
Vickkie is so personable! I really feel comfortable sharing parts of my thought process with her that I might otherwise be hesitant to share for fear of being misunderstood or thought of as less than. I’ve looked forward to our meetings together because of this. She really did make me feel like I have a safe space to be myself and let my thoughts spill out. I never once questioned whether or not I was accepted and supported by Vickkie. The answer is always YES!
My biggest win when working with my nurse coach was:
I feel more confident than ever! Vickkie encouraged me and gave me competent nursing advice that I might not otherwise have gotten. I feel myself becoming a better nurse due to implementing actions we have discussed during our sessions. I feel I’m a safer nurse due to our conversations as well. I think this is so important for nurses to have a space where they do not feel judged/incompetent or where they fear for professional retaliation. I believe questions are often left a question in our heads in a professional setting because of this. Questioning ours and others actions in an inquisitive way can only make us better health care providers. This is what makes us life time learners. Something I know I strive for. Not only can I use what I’ve learned in my professional life, I can adapt it to my personal life too and share similar results.
My biggest insight that happened as a result of our coaching sessions was:
I am a competent nurse! Something I’ve questioned since I graduated nursing school shaking in my boots. I’ve been more loving and graceful to myself when I do make a mistake with the intention of learning from it and growing into a better nurse/person of this earth. It was much easier for me to find that love and grace for myself, having Vickkie as a mentor.
I would recommend Nurse Life Coaching because:
Health care providers need a safe space for them to share their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and trauma. In my experience (very little, but still some), health care doesn’t always have that safe space. We often bring home what isn’t ours to carry. This is a great space for us to let burdens go and learn from mistakes so we can better ourselves and hopefully, one day, better our health care system to show love and compassion.

What I loved most about working with my nurse coach was:
As a nurse speaking with someone who understood the unique stressors, burn out, and emotional demands that come with working in healthcare. There are many coaches who aren’t in healthcare who try to coach nurses and there is a major disconnect.
My biggest win when working with my nurse coach was:
The biggest win was regaining confidence in a season when I felt emotionally exhausted and uncertain about my future. I was able to shift from simply surviving to believing that I could create a more fulfilling life and career. The inner growth helped me move forward with clarity, take positive steps toward new opportunities. This ultimately led me stepping into a new job after not working for a year, with a renewed hope and confidence.
My biggest insight that happened as a result of our coaching sessions was:
Instead of operating from survival mode and desperation, I started approaching opportunities with more clarity, confidence, and hope for the future. The mindset shift made a huge difference, not only professionally but personally.
I would recommend Nurse Life Coaching because:
Working with a nurse coach has been a positive and empowering experience. I have spent so much time caring and prioritizing others, nurse coaching provided the support I needed. I was able to focus on my own goals and mindset. I would recommend nurse coaching to any nurse who feels overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or who wants to grow personally or professionally.

What I loved most about working with my nurse coach was:
What didn’t I love about working with Vickkie? She was such an active listener yet knew when I needed to hear what she had to say. She really asked some deep questions that I needed to ask myself but never had the courage. She explored options with me after really getting to know me. She was very interested in me and made me feel heard. I was held accountable to dig deep into myself and I do appreciate that. I’ve been through several therapists in my life, but this just felt more comforting. I didn’t feel rushed. Like I said, I felt heard. She made the environment feel very safe and encouraging to discuss pretty much anything. I loved how we connected from day one and that was because of her. She was made to be a Nurse Life Coach. She helped me identify obstacles and how to overcome them, on my terms. She didn’t tell me, “What to do”, she guided my way of thinking.
My biggest win when working with my nurse coach was:
My biggest win would be that I felt COMPLETELY comfortable with sharing a lot of DEEP information with her in a short amount of time. I am a talker but talking about the subjects we covered areas very close to my heart and painful to discuss. She pulled it all out of me and that is a WIN.
My biggest insight that happened as a result of our coaching sessions was:
I can see/accept people who they are. I realize I won’t always be in control & I can lessen my own stress level. I still have a long way to go but these sessions were invaluable to me. I cannot thank her enough.
I would recommend Nurse Life Coaching because:
I feel that a Nurse Life Coach is a more holistic approach, which helps the person as a whole. Not using medications to cure the issues but using words and actions plans. I also think being able to relate to another nurse is so important for young nurses, nurses who may feel they are the verge of burn out or just nurse everyday life. I also feel that we collaborated and as nurses , that’s key to support.
